Why Was The Mexican-American War Fought?
The Mexican-American War was fought because the Americans, in pursuit of Manifest Destiny, attacked the Mexicans because they wanted to get Texas and California which were originally Mexican. At first they tried to purchase it from Mexico but after they declined, they Invaded. In the final treaty of the war, Mexico signed a treaty which binded Texas and California as a part of the Americans.
